Collaborative Care

We’ll work with your physician or PT to build a plan around you

When you’re managing an injury or a medical condition, the best results come from everyone pulling the same direction. With your consent, we coordinate—so the soft-tissue work fits the bigger plan, not the other way around.

Most of the time, you book, you come in, and we get to work. But if you’re rehabbing a knee, working through a nagging tendon, or living with a condition that shapes how your body responds to touch, you shouldn’t have to be the only thread connecting everyone caring for you. That’s our job to help with.

What collaborative care means here

It means your session is one part of a coordinated whole. We take the time to understand what your physician or physical therapist is working toward, we adapt the hands-on work to support it, and we feed back what we’re seeing in your tissue and movement. You stay at the center of it—informed, in control, and never carrying messages between providers yourself.

We work within scope—and refer out

A massage therapist has a clear, defined scope of practice. We don’t diagnose, and we don’t treat medical conditions independently or replace medical care. What we do is skilled soft-tissue work that complements it. If something looks like it belongs with a physician, physical therapist, or other provider, we’ll say so plainly and help you get there. Knowing the edge of our lane is part of doing this well.

Communication happens only with your written consent

We will never contact your providers without your say-so. If you want us to coordinate, you sign a simple, specific authorization—naming who we may speak with and what may be shared—and you can withdraw it at any time. Without that signed consent, your information stays private. You can review and print our consent & referral form before you ever book.

Intake is where it starts

Before any hands-on work, we review your relevant health conditions, current medications, injury history, and your goals. That conversation is what lets us adapt safely and decide together whether looping in your provider makes sense. Nothing about it is rushed.

How It Works

A simple, four-step sequence

01

Listen

We start with your goals, your injury or condition, your history, and the providers already in your corner.

02

Coordinate

With your written consent, we connect with your physician or PT to understand the plan and any precautions.

03

Tailor

We build each session to support that plan—adapting pressure, focus, and technique to where you actually are.

04

Adjust

We share what we’re seeing, listen to what your providers see, and adjust as you progress—or refer out if needed.

Managing an injury or a condition? You don’t have to choose between your medical care and good bodywork—done right, they reinforce each other. Tell us what you’re working with when you book a session, and we’ll take it from there at your pace.

Common Questions

Care coordination, answered

Only with your written consent. If you’d like your soft-tissue work to align with your medical care, you sign a simple authorization and we’ll communicate with your physician or PT—sharing what we’re seeing and following any precautions they provide. Without that signed consent, your information stays private and we don’t contact anyone.
No. You can book directly—most clients do. A referral isn’t required. Coordination is simply an option when you’re managing an injury or condition and want everyone working from the same plan.
We refer out. A massage therapist works within a defined scope—we don’t diagnose, and we don’t treat medical conditions independently. If something needs a physician, PT, or other provider, we’ll tell you plainly and help you get to the right person.
Yes. Your intake and health details are confidential. We only share information when you’ve signed a written authorization specifying what may be shared and with whom—and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
